I like mathletics because it teaches you how to be quick in math, adding, subtracting,multiplying, dividing. I like competing with people from different states also, because some are faster, and more challenging, also you can challenge yourself by going to higher levels.

1. FRACTIONS

I agree that student have problems with fractions, because they rely on calculators more instead of their brain.

2. INTEGERS                                                                                                                                          I agree with this one also,because we rely on calculators too much, and so we also struggle with integer. (Positive and negative)

3. ORDER OF OPERATION                                                                                                                     Again students rely on calculators, because it's all in the technology we have now. With BEDMAS you need to know how to divide, multiply, add, and subtract. You also need to know the order it's supposed to be in.

4. DISTRIBUTIVE PROPERTY                                                                                                                 I've never learnt distributive property, but I know that when doing it, say you have 3(x+2) it equals 6 because you have to move the 3 to the x space, and then multiply 2 by 3 and that equals 6. 

5. NEATNESS                                                                                                                                            Neatness is huge, because if you're writing decimals, you have to make sure you can see the decimal, or the answer could be wrong, and who ever wrote it out and answered the equation may not catch it, so they will get it wrong.

6. PENCIL NOT PEN                                                                                                                              You should always write your math in pencil, because if you make a mistake it's pretty hard to remove that mistake, and then you could have scribbles all over your page, and that looks messy, and you want to make sure your math is neat so others can read it too.

7. ENOUGH SPACE                                                                                                                               You want to make sure you have enough space of your assignment, because if not, your answer could get mixed with another one, and that could give you the wrong answer also. You also want to make your writing larger, so you can see it better, and tell what number is which and where the decimals are. 

Fractions

Fractions involve a numerator and a denominator. The numerator is the number on top, and the denominator is on the bottom.

You use fractions in baking/cooking, measurments, maybe building and many more. 

I know how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. I just need a bit of help with the whole numbers still, but other than that I'm good.

Marks (how are they calculated)

You marks are calculated with weighted percents. With weighted percents, if one of your marks isn't as important as the others, they would put it over 100 (example: 25/100)

If one of your marks was more important than the other they would double it. 

Pros and cons of using a calculator

Pros: pros about using a calculator, is it gives you the correct answer and not the wrong one.

Cons: cons about using a calculator, is it does the work for you, and when you can't figure out the answer you're pressured into using a calculator, because that's what you usually would do if you can't figure out the answer.

Math expert: 

I really like math expert, because its like quick math, and you have to think fast, and it really works your brain. It also kind of warms up your brain before class starts, if you play before class. You want to try and make the high score list.

King of math: 

I also like this one, because its also like math expert. It's fast math, and you want to math the high score list. It's also fast, like math expert.

Grade9 math: 

I like grade9 math, because it shows you how to do your  math if you forgot how, or were never taught, I know that it will help me. It helps you with almost anything. 

Pick a path: 

I like pick a path, because it also kind of helps you with your math, division, multiplication, and fractions. But, you have to pick the right path.

Algebra:

I also like algebra, because it helps finding "x" and it's also fast math, you get a time, and every time you play you want to try and beat it.

Math: in your life

In my life, I think math affects me so much, because you actually need math in so many jobs now. And with out math, it might be harder to get a job, and a job is important, you have to take care of yourself, and you don't want to live with your parents forever. So math affects my life a lot.
